Our world is a mess and scary, but God has given us peace and hope through Christ who has redeemed us and understands us. He holds us firmly in His hands.
“Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal”

Most things in this life are not inherently bad, but our desire for them can definitely be. Let Christ be our treasure, and may we point others to glorify God through Him.
but God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

Christ laid down His life for love and forgiveness, and God calls us to the same love for others.
It’s time to talk about the elephant in the room …
Because apparently ivory and thus elephants symbolize the 14th Anniversary.
And this lovely lady has been married to me for 14 years this fine day.
She has shown great patience and wisdom over the past tetradecade, been a wonderful helper, and the best of friends and dad jokes.
What time is it when an elephant sits on your fence?
Time to get a new fence.
She has been involved in ministry, cooks so many meals, and leads kids at school and church so well.

As messed up as our world is, we are called by the God who loves us to love with patience, kindness, and humility Christ showed us.

With everyone doing “what is right in their own eyes,” this world gets crazy and dangerous, but we can find peace and comfort from God in His Word.
He has told you, O man, what is good; and what does the Lord require of you but to do justice, and to love kindness, and to walk humbly with your God?
Micah 6:8, ESV
Too many start with their own will, and this is not good.
We are to seek the Lord’s justice, Love in His kindness, and know these by honestly seeking His will and living by it.
Anxiety in a man’s heart weighs him down, but a good word makes him glad.
Proverbs 12:25, ESV
Beyond the things of this life, our own sin can cause us worry and fear (anxiety). Thankfully, God sent Jesus to save us from our sin and the Holy Spirit to give us hope for eternal peace.
And let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up.
Galatians 6:9, ESV
Our God did the ultimate good, by sacrificing Christ for us. Now, we have the Holy Spirit within us to empower us to do good works for His glory and help us make eternity that much better.
So faith comes from hearing, and hearing through the word of Christ.

The Word became flesh to point us to forgiveness and restoration with God, and the Holy Spirit empowers us to share this news with others to lead them toward faith in Christ.
