VerseD: 2 Corinthians 1:3-4

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our affliction, so that we may be able to comfort those who are in any affliction, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God.

2 Corinthians 1:3‭-‬4, ESV

Our God understands our hurts and fears, and He offers us His comfort that we might turn and comfort those around us.

VerseD: Psalm 121:2

My help comes from the Lord, who made heaven and earth.

Psalm 121:2, ESV

Our Maker – who made everything – wants to give us all His love, wisdom, and grace to help us through this life and into the next.

Trust in God.

VerseD: James 1:5

If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask God, who gives generously to all without reproach, and it will be given him.

By this we know love, that he laid down his life for us, and we ought to lay down our lives for the brothers.

God showed His love by becoming like one who hates Him (us) to pay our penalty.

VerseD: Luke 6:45

The good person out of the good treasure of his heart produces good, and the evil person out of his evil treasure produces evil, for out of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaks.

Luke 6:45, ESV

It is what we treasure that flows out of us.

Do we long for personal satisfaction, or do we long for God to be glorified out of our love for Him and therefore our love for others?

The only good in us is God in us.

VerseD: 1 John 2:15-16

Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world—the desires of the flesh and the desires of the eyes and pride of life—is not from the Father but is from the world.

1 John 2:15‭-‬16, ESV

We love the people in the world, but only with the love of God. We must love His Word, His commandments, and His gospel, not the pleasures and desires of this world.

VerseD: 1 Timothy 6:12

Fight the good fight of the faith. Take hold of the eternal life to which you were called and about which you made the good confession in the presence of many witnesses.

1 Timothy 6:12, ESV

The fight of faith is to glorify God. That means that we work out salvation and openly seek to grow in Christ to bring others to faith!

VerseD: Colossians 3:1

If then you have been raised with Christ, seek the things that are above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God.

Colossians 3:1, ESV

A new life I Christ means focusing on the holy, bringing the Kingdom to Earth by sharing Christ’s light through our lives of devotion to Him.

VerseD: Deuteronomy 6:5

You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your might.

Deuteronomy 6:5, ESV

Our God has saved us. How could we not want to live Him with everything we are?
