VerseD: Habakkuk 2:14

For the earth will be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the Lord as the waters cover the sea.

Habakkuk 2:14, ESV

We know God’s love for us, for He has promised to redeem all of Creation. Let us join in His redemptive work and carry the knowledge of Christ to all people.

VerseD: Romans 3:25

whom God put forward as a propitiation by his blood, to be received by faith. This was to show God’s righteousness, because in his divine forbearance he had passed over former sins.

Romans 3:25, ESV

We know God’s love for us because only He is righteous, yet He died for our unrighteousness.

VerseD: Acts 3:19

Repent therefore, and turn back, that your sins may be blotted out

Acts 3:19, ESV

We know God loves us because of His forgiveness when we begin thinking about our need for salvation in Christ and desire to change. He is faithful.

Another Re-Birth Celebration

On this day 23 years ago, at 6:46 PM CST, I bent my knee to Jesus as Lord and Savior. (If you do a search on this site for “birthday”, you will see the various explanations.)

I like to call it my Re-Birthday, as we call faith in Christ being born again. This comes from John 3 and 1 Peter 1.

I am super involved with the spreading of the faith and growing others in their faith, whether as one of the pastors at church, leading Bible studies, or teaching Christian Worldview to college students (and others in many other ways).

Care to join me? 😉

Also, it is my mother-in-law’s birthday, so join me in wishing her a happy and blessed day! If not for her, I would not have my wife!

God bless you, and remember that Jesus Christ is the reason we live and move and breathe and have meaning!

VerseD: Matthew 5:16

In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven.

Matthew 5:16, ESV

People will know we have the love of God when we do good things for others without expectation of reward, only to bless others and give glory to the One who saved us.

This Sunday at Church: Letting your pastor know you appreciate the years he’s devoted to ministry

I was ahead of the curve on this one, as last week on New Year’s Day I thanked our pastor for the years in our church (started 12 years ago this past October.) I had happened to see some of his former college ministry students the day before, people he worked with about 20 years ago.

Daniel

This Sunday at Church I want to encourage you to do the following: Letting your pastor know you appreciate the years he’s devoted to ministry. Today’s post is inspired by a special event for our church this Sunday: Celebrating the 40 years our Pastor has been in pastoral ministry.  That’s longer than I have […]

VerseD: 1 John 4:9

In this the love of God was made manifest among us, that God sent his only Son into the world, so that we might live through him.

1 John 4:9, ESV

We know God loves us because of the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus, and only by Him can have true life.

VerseD: John 13:34

A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another: just as I have loved you, you also are to love one another.

John 13:34, ESV

Our God has shown His love for us. Let us worship Him by moving each other, by loving His Church.

VerseD: Matthew 6:34

“Therefore do not be anxious about tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.”

Matthew 6:34, ESV

We can know that we have hope for eternal life, and that can give us strength for today. Let us worship God for giving us strength and hope.

VerseD: Jeremiah 29:11

For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.

Jeremiah 29:11, ESV

No matter how hard this life gets, we know God has His eyes on us. Let us worship Him for His omniscience and benevolence.
