VerseD: Hebrews 11:1

Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen.
Hebrews 11:1, ESV

We do not have a blind faith. We have the historical, prophetic, and biblical evidence, with the ultimate proof of our faith being the real and physical death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.

VerseD: 2 Corinthians 7:1

Since we have these promises, beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from every defilement of body and spirit, bringing holiness to completion in the fear of God.
2 Corinthians 7:1, ESV

This is sanctification.

Let the Father change you through the Holy Spirit ever more to be like Christ. Repentance literally means “change your mind”. It takes a changing of the way you think to change your actions.

VerseD: Psalm 42:11

Why are you cast down, O my soul, and why are you in turmoil within me? Hope in God; for I shall again praise him, my salvation and my God.
Psalm 42:11, ESV

Praising God is the best way to get out of a funk of depression, worry/anxiety, confusion, and fear.

Hope in God, your salvation.

VerseD: 2 Corinthians 5:7

for we walk by faith, not by sight.
2 Corinthians 5:7 ESV

With all that we see is wrong in this world, it can be easy to lose hope.

But we walk in the faith that Christ has promised to return and take us to be with Him forever.

VerseD: James 1:13-14

Let no one say when he is tempted, “I am being tempted by God,” for God cannot be tempted with evil, and he himself tempts no one. But each person is tempted when he is lured and enticed by his own desire.
James 1:13‭-‬14 ESV

It is not God’s fault that we are tempted and sin. The devil may tempt us, or his followers, but it really comes down to our desires and choices.

VerseD: Philippians 2:3-4

Let nothing be done through strife or vainglory; but in lowliness of mind let each esteem other better than themselves. Look not every man on his own things, but every man also on the things of others.
Philippians 2:3‭-‬4, KJV

Do not cause problems or seek popularity or fame.

Take care of yourself, sure, but even more importantly take care of other people.

But, again, do not help others to seek favor, fame, or … revenge.

VerseD: Galatians 1:10

For am I now seeking the approval of man, or of God? Or am I trying to please man? If I were still trying to please man, I would not be a servant of Christ.
Galatians 1:10, ESV

This may be the hardest part of being a Christian. We can get caught up in helping others more than serving Christ, making people feel better than leading them to Christ.

We should care for physical needs, but we should care more for spiritual needs.

VerseD: Hebrews 6:10

For God is not unjust so as to overlook your work and the love that you have shown for his name in serving the saints, as you still do.
Hebrews 6:10, ESV

Loving others is loving God. It is a huge part of how get to hear “Well done, My good and faithful servant.”

VerseD: 1 John 1:7

But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus his Son cleanses us from all sin.
1 John 1:7, ESV

Salvation is a moment. Both 2000 years ago and the moment you believe.

However, we walk out our salvation for the rest of life, as we follow the Light of Christ and let Him continue to cleanse us.

VerseD: Galatians 6:10

So then, as we have opportunity, let us do good to everyone, and especially to those who are of the household of faith.
Galatians 6:10, ESV

Serve others, give to others, encourage others. Especially those in the Church.

We are a brotherhood, a family, united in our Big Brother and God, Jesus.
