VerseD: Galatians 5:25

If we live by the Spirit, let us also keep in step with the Spirit.
Galatians 5:25, ESV

By the Holy Spirit we promote the gospel of peace to our fallen world and amongst each other in all love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control.

VerseD: 1 Peter 3:12

“For the eyes of the Lord are on the righteous, and his ears are open to their prayer. But the face of the Lord is against those who do evil.”
1 Peter 3:12, ESV

We can have peace knowing that God hears our prayers, and they will be mixed with incense and God’s wrath against the evil doers at the end. (Revelation 5:8, 8:3-5)

VerseD: Matthew 6:34

“Therefore do not be anxious about tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.”
Matthew 6:34, ESV

Tomorrow’s problems? Too far away. Deal with today’s problems.
Christ’s return? Completely out of your control. Let Him handle it.
Have peace knowing God is in control.

VerseD: Colossians 3:15

And let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, to which indeed you were called in one body. And be thankful.
Colossians 3:15, ESV

We have peace knowing our Lord has already won the war, and we can be thankful because we have guarantee of the Holy Spirit of our delivery into eternal life with Christ.

VerseD: Isaiah 54:10

For the mountains may depart and the hills be removed, but my steadfast love shall not depart from you, and my covenant of peace shall not be removed,” says the Lord, who has compassion on you.
Isaiah 54:10, ESV

Through Jesus, we know that the world as we know it will come to an end, but because of God’s great love, we shall remain in His peace on Earth forever.

VerseD: Joshua 24:15

And if it is evil in your eyes to serve the Lord, choose this day whom you will serve, whether the gods your fathers served in the region beyond the River, or the gods of the Amorites in whose land you dwell. But as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.”
Joshua 24:15, ESV

There is no “fake it til you make it” verse in the Bible. Do not put up pretenses for the sake of others.
Fully commit to serving God (it is okay to have doubts) or admit your lack of faith.

VerseD: James 1:14

But each person is tempted when he is lured and enticed by his own desire.
James 1:14, ESV

Our greatest temptations are for things we like or want most. Watch yourself, with the help of The Helper, and learn self-control.

VerseD: 1 Peter 3:13

Now who is there to harm you if you are zealous for what is good?
1 Peter 3:13, ESV

Our priorities should be based on God’s goodness and all things good (according to their nature or purpose).
Then we have a defense and clear conscience as we seek to glorify God.

VerseD: Luke 6:28

bless those who curse you, pray for those who abuse you.
Luke 6:28, ESV

Retaliation and complaining are not the Chrisitian way, because we know that apart from Christ their comeuppance will be eternal. Therfore, we show grace and mercy toward those who mock and abuse us and our Lord.

VerseD: James 1:13

Let no one say when he is tempted, “I am being tempted by God,” for God cannot be tempted with evil, and he himself tempts no one.
James 1:13, ESV

God does not tempt us. The devils, maybe. God will allow us to be tempted, but it is our own desires and lack of will that lead us astray. Turn to God in those times and find His will to overcome.
