VerseD: John 3:16

“For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life.”
JOHN 3:16, NASB

God is so much about relationship with us that He did what no other deity has offered: He became human, and then He died for our rebellion.

It sounds foolish to the world, that God He did this and rose from the dead, but believing this is what saves.

VerseD: 1 Corinthians 1:18

For the word of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God.
1 CORINTHIANS 1:18, NASB

The message we share sounds foolish to the world.

Be ready for that. Do not be ashamed of sounding foolish. That is being ashamed of His saving work.

Be strong in the power of Christ.

VerseD: 1 Corinthians 13:6

[Love] does not rejoice in unrighteousness, but rejoices with the truth;
1 CORINTHIANS 13:6, NASB

We can not be so friendly with the world as to accept everything they do, nor do we celebrate when anyone suffers, but we we share the truth of Christ and rejoice all the more when a lost soul receives it.

VerseD: 2 Corinthians 10:5

We are destroying speculations and every lofty thing raised up against the knowledge of God, and we are taking every thought captive to the obedience of Christ
2 CORINTHIANS 10:5, NASB

We not only let God change our thinking, we challenge what this world says about Him.

He is God. He is on our side. The world’s seemingly “good” arguments are nonsense compared to His Truth.

VerseD: Matthew 6:11

‘Give us this day our daily bread.’
MATTHEW 6:11, NASB

All we have and receive comes from God.

Ask Him.

Trust Him.

He is our Provider.

VerseD: Hebrews 13:16

And do not neglect doing good and sharing, for with such sacrifices God is pleased.
Hebrews 13:16, NASB

God gives us stuff to do good and help others, to share with our brothers and sisters in Christ and those who are suffering and in need. All to His glory.

VerseD: John 13:14

If I then, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you also ought to wash one another’s feet.
John 13:14, ESV

Christ was and is our ultimate example. We are to be humble servants to God by serving others, even when it seems silly, uncomfortable, and demeaning.

It is love. Get over yourself. Love them.

VerseD: Revelation 3:20

Behold, I stand at the door and knock; if anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and will dine with him, and he with Me.
Revelation 3:20, NASB

The Lord seeks relationship with us, but He calls us to repent and allow Him to change our lives to be passionate against sin and for Him.

VerseD: Romans 4:7

“blessed are those whose lawless deeds have been forgiven, and whose sins have been covered.”
Romans 4:7, NASB

Blessed – Happy, joyous, elated, grateful – are those who have realized their own wretchedness before a holy God and also realized the grace and forgiveness He offers through the cross of Christ.

VerseD: Deuteronomy 30:16

in that I command you today to love the Lord your God, to walk in His ways and to keep His commandments and His statutes and His judgments, that you may live and multiply, and that the Lord your God may bless you in the land where you are entering to possess it.
Deuteronomy 30:16, NASB

God expects love and devotion with perfect obedience. The great news for us is that He helps us with the power of His Holy Spirit and through the perfect sacrifice of His Son so that God sees the Son when He looks at us.
