VerseD: Mark 3:25

If a house is divided against itself, that house cannot stand.

Mark‬ ‭3:25‬, ‭CSB‬

Life is hard enough without the Church getting into squabbles and frivolous fights. Let us focus on the spiritual war waging around us, and by the authority of Jesus and the power of the Holy Spirit speak against evil and seek to bring glory to God to all around us.

VerseD: Luke 12:15

And he said to them, “Take care, and be on your guard against all covetousness, for one’s life does not consist in the abundance of his possessions.”

Luke‬ ‭12:15‬, ‭ESV‬

Life can be difficult, especially when we focus having what others have. Instead, let’s encourage to remember that we have been given the greatest treasure – Christ – who is coming back for us.

VerseD: Mark 13:33

Be on guard, keep awake. For you do not know when the time will come.

Mark‬ ‭13:33‬, ‭ESV‬

Life can be hard, but we encourage each other with the hope that Christ is coming back and can come at any time.

VerseD: Matthew 7:1-2

‭“Judge not, that you be not judged. For with the judgment you pronounce you will be judged, and with the measure you use it will be measured to you.”

Matthew‬ ‭7:1‭-‬2‬, ‭ESV‬

Life can be hard, so let’s not make it harder on each other with unrighteous, hypocritical judging. Instead, let’s give the same forgiveness our Lord gives us, helping each other be better and grow in Christ.

VerseD: 1 Samuel 3:10

And the Lord came and stood, calling as at other times, “Samuel! Samuel!” And Samuel said, “Speak, for your servant hears.”

‭1 Samuel‬ ‭3:10‬, ‭ESV‬

Sometimes we don’t feel like praying, so we help each other remain faithful in seeking God.

Sometimes – oftentimes – we find God has been calling out to us the whole time. Let us respond in gratitude and obedience.

VerseD: Philippians 4:6-7

Don’t worry about anything, but in everything, through prayer and petition with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.

Philippians‬ ‭4:6‭-‬7‬, ‭CSB‬

We encourage each other through all areas of life, especially when life gets hard. Therefore, we pray together and lift up our cares to God in prayer to find His wisdom.and even peace.

VerseD: 1 John 5:14

This is the confidence we have before him: If we ask anything according to his will, he hears us.

‭1 John‬ ‭5:14‬, ‭CSB‬

We encourage each other to grow in Christ, and that can look like keeping each other in line with Christ’s thinking so that our prayers are indeed heard as we ask in His will.

VerseD: Matthew 6:9

‭“Therefore, you should pray like this: Our Father in heaven, your name be honored as holy.”

Matthew‬ ‭6:9‬, ‭CSB‬

We should encourage each other as the Church, and the best first step is seeking our God through prayer. And Jesus gave us an outline to follow.

VerseD: Matthew 9:37-38

Then he said to his disciples, “The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few; therefore pray earnestly to the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into his harvest.”

Matthew‬ ‭9:37‭-‬38‬, ‭ESV‬

We encourage each other in Christ to faithfulness, and we encourage each other to pray that He makes us each faithful in reaching the lost with the gospel.
