God’s mercy is clear when children grow up and follow what good they learned from their parents.
God’s grace is clear when those children grow up and follow Christ.
Religion that is pure and undefiled before God the Father is this: to visit orphans and widows in their affliction, and to keep oneself unstained from the world.

In His mercy, God overlooks our man-made attempts to please Him. In His grace, He showed is what is right.
We should seek His righteousness and show mercy and grace to those who most need it.
And it is my prayer that your love may abound more and more, with knowledge and all discernment, so that you may approve what is excellent, and so be pure and blameless for the day of Christ

God grants us His mercy to seek Him, and His grace that we may find Him and love Him.
Seek God. Grow in His love and wisdom, knowing Him more and what He desires for our lives in Christ.
But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.

God shows mercy to us by providing much of our needs when we are going astray, and He shows grace in giving more than we are aware we have needed, especially as we seek Him and find Hos forgiveness and love.

Most things in this life are not inherently bad, but our desire for them can definitely be. Let Christ be our treasure, and may we point others to glorify God through Him.
