VerseD: Galatians 5:25

If we live by the Spirit, let us also keep in step with the Spirit.

Galatians‬ ‭5:25‬, ‭ESV‬

It is easy to follow the ways of the world, but Christ came to show us a better way and give us hope for the future. The Holy Spirit is the sign of that hope, and He walks with us.

VerseD: Joshua 1:8

This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success.

Joshua‬ ‭1:8‬, ‭ESV‬

The Law shows us how much help we need, and it also points to Christ. Following biblical precepts will make life better, but our greatest success is inheriting eternal life in Christ.

But, as it is written, “What no eye has seen, nor ear heard, nor the heart of man imagined, what God has prepared for those who love him”

VerseD: Colossians 3:15

And let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, to which indeed you were called in one body. And be thankful.

VerseD: Psalm 147:3

He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.

Psalm‬ ‭147:3‬, ‭ESV‬

We fail. Sometimes the world is too harsh. Yet God came to us to free us from sin and heartache, and He empowers us with the Holy Spirit to overcome failure, shame, and pain and to have hope for eternity.

VerseD: Proverbs 10:17

Whoever heeds instruction is on the path to life, but he who rejects reproof leads others astray.

Proverbs‬ ‭10:17‬, ‭ESV‬

We try to do our own thing, but God has shown us the proper way, coming Himself to teach us the truth and empowering us with the Holy Spirit to live in this truth.

VerseD: Psalm 25:5

Lead me in your truth and teach me, for you are the God of my salvation; for you I wait all the day long.

Psalm‬ ‭25:5‬, ‭ESV‬

We want to believe our own truths, but God calls us to follow Him alone and empowers us to believe and follow. Wait on the Lord’s truth and power.
