God’s commandments are based on His nature and for our good, shining the light of His goodness into our world. We obey to show our love for the freedom He gives us and to spread His light in our dark world.

To understand ourselves and our world, we need to know our Creator. Seek Him and read His Word, The Bible.

God has sent His Word – Scripture and His Son – so that by the Holy Spirit we may be renewed in heart, soul, and mind. He gives it to us when we believe in Him.

We get through this life and even thrive because we have God’s Word, God’s people, and God’s Spirit guiding, encouraging, and empowering us. May we pray in the Spirit for each other and all of our needs.

God’s Law is based on His character, who He is. When we truly take in His Word by the power of the Holy Spirit, it will change our character, our inner-selves, to be more like our holy and righteous God.

God has revealed Himself and His standard for our lives in Scripture, and He demonstrated it by coming to us as one of us. May we seek this God and serve Him well, with the help of the Holy Spirit.

Words are important. Words save. Words are meaningless if they are not backed by truth and action, just like The Word becoming flesh to live and die for us.
