Our righteousness is in Christ, our Rock and foundation. Whatever comes our way, He keeps us steady and strong in His mighty strength and faithfulness. Rest in Him.
For the moment all discipline seems painful rather than pleasant, but later it yields the peaceful fruit of righteousness to those who have been trained by it. Hebrews 12:11, ESV
God allows and even ordains difficult and evil things to come our way. Sometimes to discipline us when we are wayward in our walk. Always to grow us more into the image of His Son.
No temptation has overtaken you that is not common to man. God is faithful, and he will not let you be tempted beyond your ability, but with the temptation he will also provide the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it. 1 Corinthians 10:13, ESV
We often give in to our own desires, but God empowers us through His Holy Spirit to respond like the Son: to turn to the Father, quote the Word, and escape temptations snare.
“Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.” Matthew 11:28, ESV
Stress, worry, anxiety, fear, trying to be strong or a leader … Give it to Jesus, our Good Shepherd and strong Savior. Trust Him to guide you, give you peace and strength, and to get you through.
Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our affliction, so that we may be able to comfort those who are in any affliction, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God. 2 Corinthians 1:3-4, ESV
You may suffer and face hard times, but know it is ordained by God. He is there comforting you so that you can then be a comfort to others for love and His glory.
Though the fig tree should not blossom, nor fruit be on the vines, the produce of the olive fail and the fields yield no food, the flock be cut off from the fold and there be no herd in the stalls, yet I will rejoice in the Lord ; I will take joy in the God of my salvation.
Habakkuk 3:17-18, ESV
Though everything may go wrong, though this world is often horrible, we take joy in knowing our God has saved us for His glory and will one day take us to be with Him forever!
So, if you are reading this, be thankful you made it through the year!

Our God is not aloof and uncaring. He sees our struggles, came and experienced this life, and revealed the truth of our situation with love and grace.
All this is from God, who through Christ reconciled us to himself and gave us the ministry of reconciliation;

One reason God sends hardships and persecution our way: we know how to comfort a lost world and draw them into reconciliation with their Creator through Christ.
Count it all joy, my brothers, when you meet trials of various kinds, for you know that the testing of your faith produces steadfastness.

God wants strong, faithful followers and friends.
Sometimes He allows bad things to happen. Sometimes He sends them.
It is to grow us in Christ, The Faithful One who endured trials God us.
