We are called to go beyond the initial teachings of the gospel and to go on loving others with more of God’s grace and love, serving the Church humbly and the world in truth.

Although he was a son, he learned obedience through what he suffered.

Jesus demonstrated the understanding of the pain of serving God in this life, giving us the example as our High Priest so that He could present us to the Father.

We are called to be like Christ, and, even being God, He took it upon Himself to serve others.

Just as our Lord became a poor human to save humanity from sin with His generous love and grace, we show His love and grace to others when we help those in need. We are serving Him as He serves through us, and we will draw others to join us as co-heirs of eternal life with Christ.

Do nothing from selfish ambition or conceit, but in humility count others more significant than yourselves.

The God of the universe and our Creator who deserves all worship took on human flesh to die the death we deserve for the evil we have committed.

May we be willing to demean and suffer for the sake of others as our Lord did, leading others to find Him.

We all go through struggles and hard times, so let’s treat each other the way our Savior did: humbly and mercifully, with grace and sacrificial love.

We have a tendency to want to protect Jesus, but He is the one who came to save us.

We may make a defense of the Word, but The Word died for us knowing He would come back.

We tend toward selfishness, but God has given us the example of sacrificial love and servant-hood towards each other and (as well as for) God.

Everything we do apart from Christ is evil, yet He came to overcome our evil with His righteousness by His death.

May we live like our Lord and Savior, loving others sacrificially and with goodness.

Let us love like our Lord who came to us, served us, died for us, and helps us even now.
