VerseD: Proverbs 6:16-19

There are six things that the Lord hates, seven that are an abomination to him: haughty eyes, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood, a heart that devises wicked plans, feet that make haste to run to evil, a false witness who breathes out lies, and one who sows discord among brothers.
Proverbs 6:16‭-‬19, ESV

The greatest abomination according to God? Our selfish, destructive sin. Not so much any particular sin, just sin in general.
Turn from sin to salvation in Christ.

VerseD: 1 John 1:7

But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus his Son cleanses us from all sin.

VerseD: Psalm 19:13-14

Keep back your servant also from presumptuous sins; let them not have dominion over me! Then I shall be blameless, and innocent of great transgression. Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in your sight, O Lord , my rock and my redeemer.
Psalm 19:13‭-‬14, ESV

With the help of the Holy Spirit, we can overcome temptation and avoid sin. Then, may we share the glories of God, our faithful Savior!

VerseD: John 15:13

Greater love has no one than this, that someone lay down his life for his friends.
John 15:13, ESV

God set the example. Jesus called us friends if we follow Him, and that means sacrifice and pointing people to the truth of our need for salvation.

VerseD: Romans 1:16

For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes, to the Jew first and also to the Greek.
Romans 1:16, ESV

Do you share the Gospel with others? Are you more concerned with how people (including yourself) feel or the truth of Christ? Do you know the Gospel well enough to share it?

Why are you cast down, O my soul, and why are you in turmoil within me? Hope in God; for I shall again praise him, my salvation and my God.
Psalm 42:11, ESV

This world is not our home. When this life drags us down, remember our hope: that Cbrist died for our salvation and will redeem this world, as well.
