VerseD: Psalm 105:17-18

He had sent a man ahead of them—
Joseph, who was sold as a slave.
They hurt his feet with shackles;
his neck was put in an iron collar.

Psalm 105:17-18, CSB

God is faithful, and He showed this by protecting Abraham’s grandchild and great-grandchildren by sending Joseph to suffer and rise to save his family. Likewise, God’s faithfulness is ultimately found in His sending Christ to suffer for our sins and rise to glory for our salvation and hope.

VerseD: Psalm 105:3

Glory in his holy name; let the hearts of those who seek the Lord rejoice!

Psalm 105:3, ESV

God deserves all our worship, because our righteous Creator became like us to clothe us in righteousness. Let us praise and share His name throughout the world!

VerseD: Psalm 105:2

Sing to him, sing praises to him; tell of all his wondrous works!

Psalm 105:2, ESV

God deserves praise for all that He has done, especially our salvation from sin and the grave. He also deserves our obedience in sharing this good news with the world.

VerseD: Matthew 19:26

But Jesus looked at them and said, “With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.”

Matthew 19:26, ESV

All power and authority come from our Creator and Savior. In Christ alone are we saved, and only by His power can we be saved. Put your trust in Him.

VerseD: Hebrews 7:14

For it is evident that our Lord was descended from Judah, and in connection with that tribe Moses said nothing about priests.

Hebrews 7:14, ESV

Only God could save us from our sins and His wrath, and even though Jesus was not necessarily descended from the tribe of priests, He proved He is our High Priest who takes away our sins and saves us from wrath.

VerseD: Hebrews 7:12

For when there is a change in the priesthood, there is necessarily a change in the law as well.

Hebrews 7:12, ESV

We could never save ourselves from God’s wrath and the sin revealed by His Law. When Jesus was established as our High Priest at His death and resurrection, we who put our faith in Him are no longer under the Law, but we obey out of love for our Lord.

VerseD: Hebrews 7:11

Now if perfection had been attainable through the Levitical priesthood (for under it the people received the law), what further need would there have been for another priest to arise after the order of Melchizedek, rather than one named after the order of Aaron?

Hebrews 7:11

It is through Christ alone that we can be saved from sin and God’s wrath. Nothing we do on earth can save us, but the eternal God became one of us to be our great High Priest and save us.

VerseD: Ephesians 6:17

Take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is God’s word.

Ephesians 6:17, HCSB‬

God’s Word guides us, renews or minds, and guards our souls from attacks and our emotions and thoughts.

VerseD: John 19:30

When Jesus had received the sour wine, He said, “It is finished! ” Then bowing His head, He gave up His spirit.

John 19:30, HCSB‬

We worship Christ, because He paid our debt we could never pay and restored the relationship we could never restore. May we love others sacrificially and share the good news that “It is finished,” that we can be with God!

VerseD: John 12:14

‭they took palm branches and went out to meet Him. They kept shouting: “Hosanna! He who comes in the name of the Lord is the blessed One — the King of Israel!”

John 12:13, HCSB‬

May we join with the saints of all time in declaring the salvation found in Christ alone to the whole world until His return.
