We find joy and peace by remaining focused on the joy Christ could see on the other side of the cross, knowing He took our shame and punishment on Himself to bring us into fellowship with God when we believe He saved us from the curse of sin and is always with us.

We find joy in imitating the patience, humility, and gentleness of God’s love, living sacrificially as Christ did with us. We believe Jesus lived this way, so we bring His peace to others.

We find joy in the love of God who saves all those who believe in Jesus, God in the flesh who saved us from sin and separation from God by His death and resurrection.

We find joy and patience in knowing that God was patient with us yet sent others to preach the gospel to us that we might believe in Christ. May we be patient with others and learn the joy of helping them hear the gospel.

We find joy in the loving patience of God which pushes us toward patience with others, for we know He has been patient with us and with the whole world, giving the lost more time to seek Him.

We find joy in the love of God, the one who made us, came for us, saved us, and now dwells within us.

We find hope and peace knowing God prepared for our salvation centuries before Jesus came, even from before the foundation of the world, that He would be with us.

The gospel is overcoming the fear of death and uncertainty, knowing Christ has overcome sin, death, and the forces of this world through His death and resurrection.

The gospel is the impossible happening: a hardened, evil heart being softened and made righteous by grace through faith in the work of Christ.

The gospel is overcoming fear, hatred, and sin in the power of Christ’s blood and of the Holy Spirit through repentance, faith, grace, and love.
