VerseD: Luke 6:38

“give, and it will be given to you. Good measure, pressed down, shaken together, running over, will be put into your lap. For with the measure you use it will be measured back to you.”
Luke 6:38, ESV

Through Christ, God has given us mercy, grace, forgiveness, love, and all that we need. We ought to be praying this along.
Likewise, it can encourage others to do the same and even lead others to Christ.

VerseD: Luke 9:23-24

And he said to all, “If anyone would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross daily and follow me. For whoever would save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for my sake will save it.

If we strive for our best life now, it means it only gets worse after we die (i.e. Hell).
Jesus calls us to be servants, yes, possibly even doormats if that is what it takes to show the love, grace, and mercy of God to this world.

Love one another with brotherly affection. Outdo one another in showing honor.

We are not in a competition to be the best. We ought to be helping each other be our best in Christ through His love and grace flowing through us.

One gives freely, yet grows all the richer; another withholds what he should give, and only suffers want.

Generosity often begets generosity.
Especially in matters of love and grace.
Do as our Lord has done and share His love and grace, growing in both.

Regardless of what skeptics may say,  God has revealed Himself to us, through Scripture and by coming to live as one of us to bring truth and grace.

God became one of us to bring us grace, truth, forgiveness, and hope.

VerseD: Ephesians 2:8-9

For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast.

We can not earn or work our way to God. We either remain under God’s wrath or we accept His grace and forgiveness offered through Christ’s atoning work on the cross.

VerseD: Matthew 6:21

For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.

Our desires point towards our destination: are we more focused on what we can get or on Who provides for all our needs? Do we strive for wealth or for righteousness?

VerseD: Psalm 9:1-2

I will give thanks to the Lord with my whole heart; I will recount all of your wonderful deeds. I will be glad and exult in you; I will sing praise to your name, O Most High.
Psalm 9:1‭-‬2, ESV

Perspectives matter. Yes, there are plenty of bad things in this life. There are also good and beautiful things provided by God, most especially His grace and mercy as found at the cross.

[Jesus] whom God put forward as a propitiation by his blood, to be received by faith. This was to show God’s righteousness, because in his divine forbearance he had passed over former sins.

God’s mercy and grace are shown through not killing us immediately for our sins but coming Himself to take our punishment on Himself to save us who believe from His wrath.
