VerseD: Psalm 8:3-4

When I look at your heavens, the work of your fingers, the moon and the stars, which you have set in place, what is man that you are mindful of him, and the son of man that you care for him?

The God who created billions of light-years of space and matter sees each of us and loves us enough that He came to us as one of us to save us from our sin.

Wait for the Lord; be strong, and let your heart take courage; wait for the Lord!

Our God is in control.

Be patient. Trust Him. He may not fix all of our problems in this life, but He is coming again for us with eternal life.

Be strong in the Lord.

for God gave us a spirit not of fear but of power and love and self-control.

We can overcome our fears by God’s Holy Spirit and the hope we have been given, especially to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ with our world.

The righteous who walks in his integrity— blessed are his children after him!

Our Christian walk is not about us. We walk in the righteousness of Christ to bless others and glorify our heavenly Father.

The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves the crushed in spirit.

Our Lord understands us completely, and those who can be humble and admit their hurts and needs are closer to Him than they may realize and will see Him one day face to face.

For the whole law is fulfilled in one word: “You shall love your neighbor as yourself.”

We have been freed from sin and pride so that we are free to love God by loving other people through sacrifice and service.

“Therefore I tell you, do not be anxious about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink, nor about your body, what you will put on. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothing?”

Our biggest concern should be the destination of our souls. Knowing Christ has redeemed us by His blood should remind us that God can obviously meet our physical needs, as well.

VerseD: Romans 8:26

Likewise the Spirit helps us in our weakness. For we do not know what to pray for as we ought, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words.

It’s okay to not know what to pray for or how to pray, especially when we have to deal with the problems of this world. Our Lord knows our needs and and helps us in all things.

This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success.

We should be regularly reading, thinking on, and talking about God’s Word that we may continually work on and encourage each other in living it out.

VerseD: Psalm 91:1-2

He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will abide in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say to the Lord, “My refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust.”

The Church (and therefore the people) may be the Temple of God (so we should love the Church), but it is the Lord Himself who is our hope and redemption.
