Because Christ lives, when we believe in Him we have access to the Holy Spirit who empowers us by His Word to stand up to temptations, persecutions, and all manner of evil.

For Christ also suffered for sins once for all, the righteous for the unrighteous, that he might bring you to God. He was put to death in the flesh but made alive by the Spirit

God made us good and for fellowship, but we have all acted with evil intent that has separated us. Despite this, He came to us as one of us to take our evil on Himself to remove our evil and restore fellowship for all who believe.

Sow for yourselves righteousness; reap steadfast love; break up your fallow ground, for it is the time to seek the Lord, that he may come and rain righteousness upon you.

God alone is our source of righteousness and love. He can make the cruel compassionate and the evil righteous, but we must turn to Him and seek Him.

God has told us through His Word how to defend ourselves against evil, and He also gives us help to be faithful by the Holy Spirit.

See that no one repays anyone evil for evil, but always seek to do good to one another and to everyone.

Evil begets evil. Love and kindness cover and even wash away evil, like the blood of our Savior.

Love like Jesus, in truth and gentleness.

But love your enemies, and do good, and lend, expecting nothing in return, and your reward will be great, and you will be sons of the Most High, for he is kind to the ungrateful and the evil.

God showed His kindness to us by saving us when we were ungrateful and evil toward Him and each other.

Let us live by Christ’s example, knowing He has paid for others and we receive His grace and forgiveness. We expect nothing from them.

We have hope in Christ that one day all evil, pain, suffering, and sadness will be gone for those who are found in Him.

Too much knowledge puffs up, and we like to think we know more than we do. Then we copy what feels right to us rather than what may be true. Let us seek God and His wisdom, knowing that He alone is good and true.

We are very limited in our knowledge of life, the universe, and everything.

Once we acknowledge this, we can seek the One who knows all things and has told us what is good.

Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.

Everything we do apart from Christ is evil, yet He came to overcome our evil with His righteousness by His death.

May we live like our Lord and Savior, loving others sacrificially and with goodness.
