VerseD: Matthew 6:25

“Therefore I tell you, do not be anxious about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink, nor about your body, what you will put on. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothing?”

Our biggest concern should be the destination of our souls. Knowing Christ has redeemed us by His blood should remind us that God can obviously meet our physical needs, as well.

VerseD: Romans 8:26

Likewise the Spirit helps us in our weakness. For we do not know what to pray for as we ought, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words.

Romans 8:26, ESV

It’s okay to not know what to pray for or how to pray, especially when we have to deal with the problems of this world. Our Lord knows our needs and and helps us in all things.

VerseD: Joshua 1:8

This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success.

Joshua 1:8, ESV

We should be regularly reading, thinking on, and talking about God’s Word that we may continually work on and encourage each other in living it out.

VerseD: Psalm 91:1-2

He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will abide in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say to the Lord, “My refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust.”

The Church (and therefore the people) may be the Temple of God (so we should love the Church), but it is the Lord Himself who is our hope and redemption.

VerseD: 1 Corinthians 12:25-27

that there may be no division in the body, but that the members may have the same care for one another. If one member suffers, all suffer together; if one member is honored, all rejoice together. Now you are the body of Christ and individually members of it.

Our love of Christ should compel us to love His Body, the Church. We should live sacrificially loving each other and pushing each other closer to Christ.

Love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant

Love is an action, and that action wants what is best for others and patiently waits on them.

Like Christ dying for us and coming again soon.

VerseD: John 14:1

“Let not your hearts be troubled. Believe in God; believe also in me.”

John 14:1, ESV

God is in control. He sent His Son at just the right time in history to save us, and Jesus is coming back.

Believe and hope.

VerseD: Jeremiah 31:25

“For I will satisfy the weary soul, and every languishing soul I will replenish.”

Jeremiah 31:25, ESV

In Christ God is already satisfying and replenishing us by His Holy Spirit, but we have not yet seen the full satisfaction of His glory at His return. But this gives us hope.

VerseD: Psalm 100:4-5

Enter his gates with thanksgiving, and his courts with praise! Give thanks to him; bless his name! For the Lord is good; his steadfast love endures forever, and his faithfulness to all generations.

Daily approach God in prayer, thanking Him that Jesus has made away for us to draw near, because of His sacrifice made in perfect love.

Those who sow in tears shall reap with shouts of joy!

Psalm 126:5, ESV

Hard work can lead to good results.

Doing the Lord’s work in this life often will be hard, but the eternal rewards are with any sacrifice.
