This Sunday at Church: Pray for those who recently got married in your Church

Our church doesn’t have any newlyweds. The last two were two years ago. They did listen when I said to not focus on ministry but on each other (Deuteronomy 24:5) and studying the Bible (with groups us good!)

Though, having officiated hundreds of weddings, this has been on my heart for a long time.

Let us remember our newlyweds!

Daniel

This Sunday at Church I want to encourage you to do the following: Pray for those who recently got married in your Church. Someone in our Tuesday Bible study recently got married!  It got me thinking: We as a church should pray for those who recently got married! We should pray for their direction of […]

VerseD: Proverbs 29:25

The fear of man lays a snare, but whoever trusts in the Lord is safe.

Proverbs 29:25, ESV

VerseD: 1 Corinthians 15:58

Therefore, my beloved brothers, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that in the Lord your labor is not in vain.

1 Corinthians 15:58, ESV

The devil tries to convince us we’re failures, and the world mocks our faith, but God uses our faithfulness to lead others to Christ or heap judgment on others. Continue to honor God with your life.

VerseD: James 1:2-3

Count it all joy, my brothers, when you meet trials of various kinds, for you know that the testing of your faith produces steadfastness.

James 1:2‭-‬3, ESV

The devil goes after those who grow in Christ, so rejoice that God allows him to attack as it shows you are growing in faith and faithfulness with the help of our faithful God.

But Jesus looked at them and said, “With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.”

The world and the devil want to hold us back and lead us from righteousness, but, even if we stumble, God is there to help us overcome and thrive.

VerseD: Hebrews 10:24-25

And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near.

Hebrews 10:24‭-‬25, ESV

Knowing our own sinfulness and the devil’s schemes, we gather together as believers in God to encourage each other in Christ and His Word.
