VerseD: 1 Corinthians 12:25-27

that there may be no division in the body, but that the members may have the same care for one another. If one member suffers, all suffer together; if one member is honored, all rejoice together. Now you are the body of Christ and individually members of it.

1 Corinthians 12:25‭-‬27, ESV

Our love of Christ should compel us to love His Body, the Church. We should live sacrificially loving each other and pushing each other closer to Christ.

Do you know how to know if someone loves you?

My lovely bride just about hates doing the laundry. Having to hang clothes and fold linen is the bane of her existence.

Yet, she will do the laundry sometimes while I am out of the house.

Because she loves me.

Strength and dignity are her clothing, and she laughs at the time to come.
Proverbs 31:25 ESV

Why do I discuss this?

Apparently, the twelfth wedding anniversary is the linen anniversary. (Silk apparently works for 12, too.)

And we have made it.

I love this wonderful woman of God.

Happy Anniversary, Wonderful Woman!

VerseD: 1 Corinthians 13:4

Love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant

1 Corinthians 13:4, ESV

Love is an action, and that action wants what is best for others and patiently waits on them.

Like Christ dying for us and coming again soon.

VerseD: Romans 8:35

Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or danger, or sword?

Romans 8:35, ESV

Parents often say each of their children is their favorite and that each is always loved no matter what.

How much more is this true of the One who died to take away our sins?

VerseD: Hebrews 13:16

Do not neglect to do good and to share what you have, for such sacrifices are pleasing to God.

Hebrews 13:16, ESV

When we consider others as extensions of ourselves (we share the same Spirit and were all made in God’simage), God smiles to see us share everything with each other, so that no one is truly in need for anything (except the Gospel.)

VerseD: 1 Corinthians 13:7

Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.

1 Corinthians 13:7, ESV

Good will win. People can change. This world is not all there is nor the end.

As God loves this world through us in Jesus Name.

VerseD: John 13:34

A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another: just as I have loved you, you also are to love one another.

John 13:34, ESV

Doing what we want is not taking others’ needs into consideration. Thinking of others’ needs first shows the love God has given us for others.

VerseD: Romans 13:10

Love does no wrong to a neighbor; therefore love is the fulfilling of the law.

Romans 13:10, ESV

We strive to do what is best for our neighbors (anyone). The world tries to say it means no pain, but sometimes what is best comes through pain: like hearing you are in need of salvation.

VerseD: 1 Corinthians 13:13

So now faith, hope, and love abide, these three; but the greatest of these is love.
1 Corinthians 13:13, ESV

We have faith in the Faithful One who saves us, hope in His return, and love Him by loving others through compassion and sharing the good news of His saving work and imminent return.

VerseD: Romans 8:37-39

No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Romans 8:37‭-‬39, ESV

For He is risen!
