VerseD: 1 John 4:18

There is no fear in love, but perfect love casts out fear. For fear has to do with punishment, and whoever fears has not been perfected in love.

1 John 4:18, ESV

We no longer need to fear God’s wrath after we come to Christ. Instead, we should fear for those who do not know Him and share the Gospel with them.

VerseD: Matthew 7:12

“So whatever you wish that others would do to you, do also to them, for this is the Law and the Prophets.”

Matthew 7:12, ESV

Kindness and mercy are definitely important, but we should not forget grace and forgiveness as well as sharing God’s Word with all people. There is nothing more loving than pointing each other to God.

VerseD: Romans 12:21

Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.

Romans 12:21, ESV

Many in this world pursue their own agendas and hurt many others, but we are called by Christ to show love and compassion to all. Even those who revile us.

VerseD: Galatians 5:24

And those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires.

Galatians 5:24, ESV

Jesus did not want to die, but He did want us more.

We show we love God and others when we give Him our sinful (or merely inconsequential) wants and desires each moment, instead focusing on knowing and sharing His Gospel.

VerseD: 1 John 4:19

We love because he first loved us.

1 John 4:19, ESV

We know how to and that we can love because of Christ’s love put on display through His life, death and resurrection.

VerseD: 1 Thessalonians 5:15

See that no one repays anyone evil for evil, but always seek to do good to one another and to everyone.

1 Thessalonians 5:15, ESV

We could never punish anyone like God can, nor can we forgive as fully as God.

Let His love and grace flow through you to all people, as He did for you through Jesus.

VerseD: Ecclesiastes 12:13

The end of the matter; all has been heard. Fear God and keep his commandments, for this is the whole duty of man.

Ecclesiastes 12:13, ESV

What is the meaning of life?

To love and obey God.

How?

By loving others.

VerseD: Galatians 6:2

Bear one another’s burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ.

Galatians 6:2, ESV

The greatest Commandment is to love God, and to love others. We show our love for God when we help each other in all areas of life.

VerseD: 1 Corinthians 13:1

If I speak in the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I am a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal.

1 Corinthians 13:1, ESV

If we do things for the sake of those things or to be better, but not because we love God or to love others, those things are useless and distracting.

Seek God first, and seek to bring others into God’s love, and everything we do will have godly purpose.

VerseD: Romans 8:38-39

For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Romans 8:38‭-‬39, ESV

If you are found in Christ, you are His, sealed with the Holy Spirit, and unable to be plucked from His hand.

It is a done deal.
