VerseD: Proverbs 15:1

A soft answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger.
Proverbs 15:1, ESV

Understanding, compassion, and empathy usually work better than accusation, blame, blunt indifference, and even simple advice.
Truth is necessary, as is remembering to honor the emotional state and image of God in the other person.
It is not about being right but loving in truth.

The greatest among you shall be your servant.
Matthew 23:11, ESV

Retaliation and complaining are not the Chrisitian way, because we know that apart from Christ their comeuppance will be eternal. Therfore, we show grace and mercy toward those who mock and abuse us and our Lord.

VerseD: 2 Corinthians 1:3-4

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our affliction, so that we may be able to comfort those who are in any affliction, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God.
2 Corinthians 1:3‭-‬4, ESV

Firstly, we are comforted knowing we are saved through Christ, so we can offer the comfort to others that they too can be saved.
Knowing this, we can offer comfort, even suffering ourselves, knowing the great rest to come.
Perspective changes everything.

VerseD: Ephesians 4:31-32

Let all bitterness and wrath and anger and clamor and slander be put away from you, along with all malice. Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you.

Remember: rarely do others attack us, rather they are attacking Christ. He can defend Himself.
Show the love, kindness, and grace to others (even in church) that He has shown through Christ.

See that no one repays anyone evil for evil, but always seek to do good to one another and to everyone.
1 Thessalonians 5:15, ESV

We are ambassadors of peace, between each other as Christians and between God and others. Do good to win others to Christ.

VerseD: Matthew 5:44

But I say to you, Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you
Matthew 5:44, ESV

When we pray for and do good works toward those who mistreat us, we either heap coals on their heads for the final judgment or lead them to saving knowledge in Jesus Christ.

VerseD: 1 Peter 4:8

Above all, keep loving one another earnestly, since love covers a multitude of sins.

VerseD: Colossians 3:23-24

Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the inheritance as your reward. You are serving the Lord Christ.
Colossians 3:23‭-‬24, ESV

Whether your job, a task, or your relationships of all sorts, imagine you are doing it for or to Jesus (because He said we are).
That view changes everything.
