Jesus calls us to emerge from and engage this world with the gospel, and He helps us every step of the way, for He is our Creator and Savior.
If a house is divided against itself, that house cannot stand.

Life is hard enough without the Church getting into squabbles and frivolous fights. Let us focus on the spiritual war waging around us, and by the authority of Jesus and the power of the Holy Spirit speak against evil and seek to bring glory to God to all around us.
And he told them a parable to the effect that they ought always to pray and not lose heart.

Jesus reminds us that life is hard, and when we don’t see the response we wanted or it doesn’t come fast enough, hang in there. Keep praying. The Holy Spirit will also give us strength, wisdom, and help with our prayers.
Likewise, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. For we do not know what to pray for as we ought, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words.
Romans 8:26, ESV
Life gets hard for many reasons, and sometimes it is too much. Yet God helps us, because He loves in the believer by the Holy Spirit, so we can trust that God knows our needs and helps us pray even when we feel like we can’t.
So neither he who plants nor he who waters is anything, but only God who gives the growth.
1 Corinthians 3:7, ESV
We are called to share the gospel and help each other grow in the knowledge of Christ, but we know that our salvation and growth comes from God’s work in us.
You will seek me and find me, when you seek me with all your heart.
Jeremiah 29:13, ESV
Only God can redeem us and give us a new heart, and He calls to us through the cross by the Holy Spirit.
“Behold, God is my salvation; I will trust, and will not be afraid; for the Lord God is my strength and my song, and he has become my salvation.”
Isaiah 12:2, ESV
God alone is our salvation and hope, sticking closer than a friend and filling us eith His power and strength.
fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.
Isaiah 41:10, ESV
The Light of the world came to us and fills us. He has overcome sin, death, and this world, and by indwelling us shares that power in our lives.
Fear not.
One thing have I asked of the Lord, that will I seek after: that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to gaze upon the beauty of the Lord and to inquire in his temple.
Psalm 27:4, ESV
The Light of the world has come and revealed Himself to us. If we desire truth and goodness, we will see Him and He will shine through us to this world.
So we do not lose heart. Though our outer self is wasting away, our inner self is being renewed day by day.
2 Corinthians 4:16, ESV
The Light of the world came to us, and when we believe in Him and His work on the cross He dwells in us to make us more like Him every day.
