VerseD: 1 Timothy 6:12

The Christian faith is not merely a personal thing. It is a community and declaration to the world of Christ’s sovereignty and goodness, and the Holy Spirit empowers us to be in community and share that faith.

And this is the confidence that we have toward him, that if we ask anything according to his will he hears us.

Whatever will bring God glory and spread His love and grace, God will give us when we ask, and He gives us the Holy Spirit so that He can help us to know what to ask for.

Our God of peace who brought us peace requires us to also live in peace with others, and He gives us the Holy Spirit to move His peace through us.

Let me hear in the morning of your steadfast love, for in you I trust. Make me know the way I should go, for to you I lift up my soul.

Psalm 143:8, ESV

Our Lord sends His Holy Spirit to guide us in all truth and obedience, helping us grow in love and faithfulness to each other and God.

VerseD: Isaiah 43:18-19

“Remember not the former things, nor consider the things of old. Behold, I am doing a new thing; now it springs forth, do you not perceive it? I will make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert.”

We are not bound to the Law of Moses with strict rules and sacrifices, for the perfect sacrifice was made. In Christ, we now seek to love God who indwells us by His Holy Spirit and helps us.

We must acknowledge that Jesus is the second Person of the Trinity, the Son of God who is God, or we do not have God in our life.

If we live by the Spirit, let us also keep in step with the Spirit.

We so often wish to do our own thing, but the Holy Spirit directs us and transforms us to think and act like Christ to the glory of the Father. May we choose to follow.

for it is God who works in you, both to will and to work for his good pleasure.

We naturally want to rebel against God, but His Holy Spirit works in us to transform us into Christ’s likeness to do His will. H takes great pleasure in seeing us obey, not merely because He has moved our will to His but because we want to out of love as we see the good changes happening within.

The end of the matter; all has been heard. Fear God and keep his commandments, for this is the whole duty of man.

We want to do things on our own, but the things of life are meaningless apart from God. When we submit to the Holy Spirit to helps act and be more Christ-like, we find our true purpose and meaning in life.

VerseD: Acts 2:38

And Peter said to them, “Repent and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins, and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.

When we repent and believe in Christ, we receive the Holy Spirit, and He helps us glorify Christ by loving others and sharing the good news of Christ.
