Our God is the One who changes us, who fills us with His love and grace, who makes us new.
Let us show others the love and grace of our God, the change He has made in us.
And Peter said to them, “Repent and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins, and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.

When we repent and believe in Christ, we receive the Holy Spirit, and He helps us glorify Christ by loving others and sharing the good news of Christ.
“But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.”

Our purpose in life is to bring glory to God, and He has given us His Spirit to share the news of His love and grace to the whole world.
For to set the mind on the flesh is death, but to set the mind on the Spirit is life and peace.
Romans 8:6, ESV
Spiritual death is ever lurking, and it drags down those around us when we give in to fleshly desires. Yet, when we choose to follow the Holy Spirit, we have peace within and shared with those around us.
Be merciful, even as your Father is merciful.
Luke 6:36, ESV
God has shown us great mercy in His forgiveness for our sins.
Let us show the same mercy to others, remembering many are still lost, and our mercy can point them to Christ.
Put on then, as God’s chosen ones, holy and beloved, compassionate hearts, kindness, humility, meekness, and patience
Colossians 3:12, ESV
God humbled Himself (condescended to us), becoming weak in His kind patience with us because of His compassionate love to save us.
Let us do likewise, as we remember that we were just like the world, and carry that God news so that they, too, may come to know His kindness.
Righteousness guards him whose way is blameless, but sin overthrows the wicked.
Proverbs 13:6, ESV
Christ’s righteousness has cleansed is and declared us blameless, but those who choose to remain in their sin only have wrath to face. May we pray they find Christ.
Greater love has no one than this, that someone lay down his life for his friends.

God Himself called us friends and died for us.
May we turn to this lost and fallen world to show them our Friend who loves so much.
Some trust in chariots and some in horses, but we trust in the name of the Lord our God.

No army can stand against God. Even when He died for us, it was a battle move to save us. We can put our faith in Him.
“Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.”

We see our weakness before God, our utter sinfulness, and it should push us to seek His grace and mercy and find hope in Christ.
