VerseD: Isaiah 55:1-2

“Come, everyone who thirsts, come to the waters; and he who has no money, come, buy and eat! Come, buy wine and milk without money and without price. Why do you spend your money for that which is not bread, and your labor for that which does not satisfy? Listen diligently to me, and eat what is good, and delight yourselves in rich food.”
Isaiah 55:1‭-‬2, ESV

We should drink mightily of the water of the Holy Spirit, the fountain of Life,  and eat abundantly of the Word, reading Scripture and partaking in the Son of God, all to the glory of the Father.

VerseD: Psalm 139:13-14

For you formed my inward parts; you knitted me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Wonderful are your works; my soul knows it very well.
Psalm 139:13‭-‬14, ESV

Our God created us, so we know that from conception into death and beyond He knows us and is capable of all things to and through us by His Holy Spirit.

VerseD: Psalm 24:10

Who is this King of glory? The Lord of hosts, he is the King of glory! Selah

We can rest in the knowledge and hope that God is our sovereign King who controls the universe and has pardoned our sins through Christ.

VerseD: Isaiah 55:6-7

“Seek the Lord while he may be found; call upon him while he is near; let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts; let him return to the Lord , that he may have compassion on him, and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon.”
Isaiah 55:6‭-‬7, ESV

God has not abandoned us. We abandoned Him. We have until Christ’s return to repent of our sinfulness and put our faith in the One who has continued to seek after us.

VerseD: Psalm 55:22

Cast your burden on the Lord , and he will sustain you; he will never permit the righteous to be moved.
Psalm 55:22, ESV

God does not promise no trouble in life. “Cast your burden” implies problems. Rather, He uses our difficulties and our reliance on Him to shine His light to this hurting world.

VerseD: Jeremiah 29:11

For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord , plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.
Jeremiah 29:11, ESV

God’s promise is not to keep us from harm or painful experiences, rather His promise is to make us ever more like the Son and prepare us for eternity with Him.

VerseD: 1 Peter 5:10

And after you have suffered a little while, the God of all grace, who has called you to his eternal glory in Christ, will himself restore, confirm, strengthen, and establish you.
1 Peter 5:10, ESV

There are many struggles and attacks we face in this life, but our ever-present Lord holds us and lifts us up, ultimately to eternal life.

VerseD: Jeremiah 29:13

You will seek me and find me, when you seek me with all your heart.
Jeremiah 29:13, ESV

Nothing in this world ever truly goes the way we expect, but if we seek and worship God in every circumstance, we will find He was always there.

The heart of man plans his way, but the Lord establishes his steps.
Proverbs 16:9, ESV

None of our plans will work apart from God.
“Seek first his kingdom and righteousness …”

VerseD: Psalm 46:1

God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.
Psalm 46:1, ESV

God wants to help us. Trust in Him. He is our strong defender and hope.
