VerseD: 1 Peter 3:13

Now who is there to harm you if you are zealous for what is good?
1 Peter 3:13, ESV

Obeying Christ makes our day-to-day life easier, by and large, yet it may also lead to persecution from non-Christians.

Be ready. Do good. Know Scripture. Draw near to God.

VerseD: Matthew 5:10

“Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness’ sake, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.”
Matthew 5:10, ESV

You are blessed to be considered worthy to suffer as our Lord. If you are truly persecuted for faith in Christ, you are in the Kingdom.

VerseD: 1 Corinthians 16:13-14

Be watchful, stand firm in the faith, act like men, be strong. Let all that you do be done in love.
1 Corinthians 16:13‭-‬14, ESV

Men have been given a bad rap in our society.
Be like the godliest Man of all, Jesus:
  • Defend the truth
  • Defend the defenseless
  • Worship God in it all
  • With all things love God and others

VerseD: 2 Corinthians 7:1

Since we have these promises, beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from every defilement of body and spirit, bringing holiness to completion in the fear of God.
2 Corinthians 7:1, ESV

We know that God is preparing the Bride of Christ, His Church, to be a holy temple, and that Christ will be returning soon.
Therefore, we should be preparing ourselves, as well, knowing He keeps His promises and works all things for His glory.

VerseD: Colossians 3:12

Put on then, as God’s chosen ones, holy and beloved, compassionate hearts, kindness, humility, meekness, and patience,
Colossians 3:12, ESV

As a Christian, are you known for your compassion, kindness, humility, patience, and your ability to not be easily offended or thought stupid/ ignorant/gullible/foolish?

All of these can be hard, but especially in this current world we struggle with meekness.

VerseD: Ephesians 4:1

I therefore, a prisoner for the Lord, urge you to walk in a manner worthy of the calling to which you have been called
Ephesians 4:1, ESV

It is not enough to say you are a Christian. It takes more than simply going to church. It is a life change, and we should be growing in and showing love, respect, patience, and kindness to people while standing up for truth.

VerseD: John 15:13

Greater love has no one than this, that someone lay down his life for his friends.
John 15:13, ESV

Just as Christ – God become Man – sacrificed Himself for our sins, we should be willing to sacrifice anything and everything for the sake of others in the love and name of Christ.

VerseD: Micah 6:8

He has told you, O man, what is good; and what does the Lord require of you but to do justice, and to love kindness, and to walk humbly with your God?
Micah 6:8, ESV

Do not seek what is fair, but what is just.

Show kindness to all, not only those who agree with you.

Realize your need for God to change you, not try to change your own life or things in this world.

VerseD: Proverbs 17:17

A friend loves at all times, and a brother is born for a difficult time.
Proverbs 17:17, CSB

Christ again is our example: be a friend to all people, loving through all areas of life; be a brother to all, especially other Christians, sacrificing of yourself in times of need.

VerseD: Galatians 6:7

Do not be deceived: God is not mocked, for whatever one sows, that will he also reap.
Galatians 6:7, ESV

Do not claim to be a Christian and then boast about your worldly lifestyle. Live worldly, receive judgment.

Be humble, receive grace and forgiveness.
