Charm is deceptive and beauty is fleeting, but a woman who fears the Lord will be praised.
Proverbs 31:30, CSB
Outward appearances are not as important as the righteousness that comes from God, whether as a person or as the Chirch as a whole.
Then Jesus said to his disciples,“If anyone wants to follow after me, let him deny himself, take up his cross, and follow me.”

God moves in His own time and purpose, and He calls us tondeny our own will over our lives and humbly and patiently follow His will.
But God proves his own love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

God moves in His own time and purpose, including coming 2,000 years ago to live as a sinless man to die to take away our sins, because He loves His Creation and wants to be with His redeemed people.
For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him.
John 3:17, CSB
God moves in His own time and purpose, and He sent Jesus at just the right time to bring salvation to those who will believe in His saving work on the cross. He will return at the right time, too, so let us seek His glory and the salvation of others while there is still time.

Colossians 3:2, CSB
God moves on His time in His way, so let us focus on His will and timing. This will save us anxiety and fear, helping us to live holy and joyful lives.
We recently handed out some study Bibles to people in our congregation. I personally have been wanting more people to know how to read and use their Bibles since discovering some who thought the numbers and headings in our Bibles are also inspired Scripture.
Our pastor and I also began giving some people our extra copies of commentaries (plus a few gifts of new commentaries), with guidance on using these resources as helps rather than definitive truth about passages. We are beginning to see dramatic growth in many within our congregation.
Knowledge is power, and understanding our Bibles better helps us understand ou Lord and Savior better, and the power of God us life-changing.

This Sunday at Church I want to encourage you to do the following: Encouraging someone to use Bible commentaries.

The Lord does not delay his promise, as some understand delay, but is patient with you, not wanting any to perish but all to come to repentance.
2 Peter 3:9, CSB
God acts on His time, not ours, but His patience flows from His love for us.
