VerseD: 1 John 2:6

The one who says he remains in him should walk just as he walked.

1 John 2:6, CSB

We need God, and He gave us the example of how to live in Jesus Christ. He helps us walk in faithfulness and love by the power of Holy Spirit, so let us trust Him and follow Him.

VerseD: Matthew 6:19

“Don’t store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal.”

Matthew 6:19, CSB

We need God. Wanting and having things is not bad, but only God satisfies all our needs, especially for eternal life and peace of heart, mind, and soul.

VerseD: Luke 19:10

“For the Son of Man has come to seek and to save the lost.”

Luke 19:10, CSB

We need God. He came to us and for us in the person of Christ, and we can find comfort and peace in knowing He has sought us first. Choose Christ daily.

This Sunday at Church: Pray for members in your church who are looking for employment

It is harder to get a job at this moment. I even saw an article Saturday (Nov. 1) about “ghost jobs,” posted job opportunities that do not actually exist within a company but are used to either scare current employees into working better or to inspire investors.

Add into this the number of people with little or no experience, and many jobs are more often requiring experience. It can make job hunting intimidating.

Let us pray for all those job searching, including Jimmy’s friend.

VerseD: Jeremiah 29:13

You will seek me and find me when you search for me with all your heart.

Jeremiah 29:13, CSB

We need God. Seeking Christ with our whole lives is the only means of true peace and hope.

VerseD: Galatians 2:20

I have been crucified with Christ, and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.

Galatians 2:20, CSB

We are in a spiritual war, and we must live in the light of Jesus’ victory on the cross, knowing that we may fight battles but He has won the war already.
