While not promised safety from everything in this world (but maybe!), we are promised that having sought the Lord and obeyed His Word, we are saved from His wrath on the Last Day!

VerseD: Proverbs 15:1

A soft answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger.
Proverbs 15:1, ESV

How many fights come from misunderstanding and reacting?
This is why many legal codes state “presumed innocent.” Seek answers, gently approach, calmly discuss and rebuke (if necessary. Maybe you were the one to misunderstand.)

Versed: John 3:18

Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only Son of God.
John 3:18, ESV

Denying Christ leaves you under God’s wrath. Only through faith in Christ, the Son of the living God who took on the Father’s wrath in our place, are we freed from that condemnation.

Be gentle, yet truthful. Do not demean, speak out of turn, or merely complain. You are speaking with a fellow image bearer of God.

God is offended by our sin and pride, and we should be, too. He calls to change – our thinking and actions – and seek Him. By the power Jesus’ sacrifice and through the working of the Holy Spirit, He helps us and redeems us.
