Our God has saved us. How could we not want to live Him with everything we are?
For his anger is but for a moment, and his favor is for a lifetime. Weeping may tarry for the night, but joy comes with the morning.
Psalm 30:5, ESV
We begin under God’s wrath for our sin. Yet, in Christ’s atoning sacrifice we find His favor. What joy we find knowing we have been redeemed by our God.
Now who is there to harm you if you are zealous for what is good?

We expect persecution and mocking if we follow Christ, but the worst they can do is kill us. If we die, we join Christ in glory.

We remember the mercy God has shown us by offering His Son as propitiation for our sin.
How much should we now show mercy to others?
No temptation has overtaken you that is not common to man. God is faithful, and he will not let you be tempted beyond your ability, but with the temptation he will also provide the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it.
1 Corinthians 10:13, ESV
In Christ, we have a God who understands our temptations, and He offers the help of His Holy Spirit and the Scriptures to escape and overcome.
Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in your sight, O Lord, my rock and my redeemer.
Psalm 19:14 ESV
May our Lord, Creator, and Savior conform our minds to His as we seek Him (and even when we stray!)
And after you have suffered a little while, the God of all grace, who has called you to his eternal glory in Christ, will himself restore, confirm, strengthen, and establish you.

God sent His Son to die for us, yet He rose again. They send the Holy Spirit Empower us to suffer for His name’s sake.
He will raise us up, too.
For you formed my inward parts; you knitted me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Wonderful are your works; my soul knows it very well.
Psalm 139:13-14, ESV
Our God made us. He wrote our DNA and formed us. How much does He deserve our praise? Should we not want to strive to serve Him faithfully?
for God gave us a spirit not of fear but of power and love and self-control.
2 Timothy 1:7, ESV
Our God loves enough to come and die in our place of punishment and overcome death. What should we fear? How much should we now strive to serve Him faithfully?
