You are from God, little children, and you have conquered them, because the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world.

God is in us by the Holy Spirit, giving us power to overcome the false teachings, evil spirits, temptations, and wickedness of this world. Trust Him and His Word.

VerseD: Psalm 105:19

Until the time his prediction came true,
the word of the Lord tested him.

Psalm 105:19, CSB

God is faithful, and He showed that through giving Joseph having and interpreting dreams and then being faithful to save Israel, and ultimately it was shown in His covenant to bless the world. Jesus and His Church are also tested, but Jesus has shown He is the fulfilled promise and faithful witness of God.

VerseD: James 1:2-3

Count it all joy, my brothers, when you meet trials of various kinds, for you know that the testing of your faith produces steadfastness.

James 1:2‭-‬3, ESV

The devil goes after those who grow in Christ, so rejoice that God allows him to attack as it shows you are growing in faith and faithfulness with the help of our faithful God.

Just as Jesus came and suffered for us, we can expect suffering in this life. It makes us more like Him and may even show we are His through persecution.

Serve the Lord with fear, and rejoice with trembling.

We must remember that our God is holy and just, that He does not abide sin.

Yes, He has saved us through Christ, but we also work out our salvation with fear and trembling (Phil. 2:12) and examine and test yourself to see if you are in the faith (2 Cor. 13:5).

Then we can rejoice.

Let no one say when he is tempted, “I am being tempted by God,” for God cannot be tempted with evil, and he himself tempts no one.
James 1:13, ESV

God cannot be bargained with, nor does He tempt us. He may allow us to be tested, and He may let us tell, scream, complain, and plead.

He has a plan, is in control, and waits for us to call on Him for help and wisdom.
