VerseD: Psalm 19:14

Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in your sight, O Lord, my rock and my redeemer.

Our thoughts naturally focus on earthly and selfish things. The more we draw close to our Creator and Lord, the more our thoughts and words become godly and praiseworthy.

VerseD: Psalm 23:4

Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me.
Psalm 23:4, ESV

Whatever happens around us, we can know – as Christians – that our Lord is watching over us, correcting us, and protecting us. Even in affliction, we can find comfort and peace in Christ.

In the craziness, hatred, sinfulness, and difficulties of this world, it is unfathomabley wonderful how great God’s love, mercy, grace, and promises are at calming and reassuring our weary hearts, souls, and minds.

VerseD: Psalm 119:23-24

Search me, O God, and know my heart! Try me and know my thoughts! And see if there be any grievous way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting!

An honest person knows they are a sinner in need of grace. God knows this better than we do.
If we merely ask in faith, He will guide us in all righteousness through Jesus Christ.

Commit your way to the Lord; trust in him, and he will act.
Psalm 37:5, ESV

Do not merely pray for God to bless your plans. Seek His will, to walk in His wisdom, and your plans will be His plans and will succeed by His standard.

VerseD: Psalm 2:11

Serve the Lord with fear, and rejoice with trembling.
Psalm 2:11, ESV

We must remember that our God is holy and just, that He does not abide sin.

Yes, He has saved us through Christ, but we also work out our salvation with fear and trembling (Phil. 2:12) and examine and test yourself to see if you are in the faith (2 Cor. 13:5).

Then we can rejoice.

Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.

Our world, our lives, our walk with God all makes sense through Scripture, the Word of God. Only by it do we see the answer to evil, sin, and the need for a Savior.

And Who that Savior is.

This is not about remembering birthdays and anniversaries (though, that is not bad.)

Rather, we should aware of God’s power and Christ’s immanent return to bring justice and peace.

Enter his gates with thanksgiving, and his courts with praise! Give thanks to him; bless his name!

Always give thanks to God, for everything all the time, praising Him for His love and good works.

It is the fastest route to God’s heart.

VerseD: Psalm 30:5

For his anger is but for a moment, and his favor is for a lifetime. Weeping may tarry for the night, but joy comes with the morning.
Psalm 30:5, ESV

Our sin is an utter offense to God, understandably made angry by it.

Yet, through the work of Christ, our gracious God forgives us and lifts us up.
