Temptation will come as long as you live. It is not new nor unexpected. Trust in the Holy Spirit and choose to avoid sin and reject the temptation.

VerseD: Psalm 139:23-24

Search me, O God, and know my heart; Try me and know my anxious thoughts; And see if there be any hurtful way in me, And lead me in the everlasting way.

Seek God, but know that He knows everything about you. He will reveal every sin and imperfection, but it is to help you trust and rely on Him as He makes you like Jesus.

True happiness is found in knowing and obeying God and His Word. Make this your driving passion in life. All else is secondary.

Psalm 42:2

My soul thirsts for God, for the living God; When shall I come and appear before God?

Our driving passion in life should be seeking out God and His righteousness. We should long to be with His Church and worship together as we await Christ’s return.

“Yet even now,” declares the Lord , “Return to Me with all your heart, And with fasting, weeping and mourning;

God is offended by our sin and pride, and we should be, too. He calls to change – our thinking and actions – and seek Him. By the power Jesus’ sacrifice and through the working of the Holy Spirit, He helps us and redeems us.

Behold, I stand at the door and knock; if anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and will dine with him, and he with Me.

The Lord seeks relationship with us, but He calls us to repent and allow Him to change our lives to be passionate against sin and for Him.

We tend to think that we can do plant of good things, but often our motives are less than pure, even selfish. God knows every intention and motive of our hearts.

Blessed – Happy, joyous, elated, grateful – are those who have realized their own wretchedness before a holy God and also realized the grace and forgiveness He offers through the cross of Christ.

God expects love and devotion with perfect obedience. The great news for us is that He helps us with the power of His Holy Spirit and through the perfect sacrifice of His Son so that God sees the Son when He looks at us.

“He who is faithful in a very little thing is faithful also in much; and he who is unrighteous in a very little thing is unrighteous also in much.”

How you live in the little, day-to-day humdrum of life can be evidence of your faithfulness toward great things.

If you want to do great things, be faithful in the ordinary.
