VerseD: Isaiah 53:5

But he was pierced because of our rebellion, crushed because of our iniquities; punishment for our peace was on him, and we are healed by his wounds.

God is faithful, and His faithfulness grows from His justice. To perform His divine justice, He took the penalty we deserve, faithfully fulfilling the need out of His love for His creation: us.

VerseD: Micah 6:8

‭He has told you, O man, what is good; and what does the Lord require of you but to do justice, and to love kindness, and to walk humbly with your God?

Micah 6:8, ESV‬

Our sovereign God has shown us the path of peace: to love God through acknowledging His goodness and our need for Him and by living rightly with others in kindness, love, and justice.

VerseD: Philippians 4:8

Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things.

God is good, and He made us to enjoy His goodness.

Find His goodness in every moment, every circumstance, every thing, and every person. Intentionally and for His glory, knowing the ultimate good was His saving work on the cross for our redemption.

VerseD: 1 John 1:9

If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

1 John 1:9, ESV

We are redeemed, but we still have a sinful nature. We have a faithful and grace-filled God who has forgiven us in Christ, so let us remain faithful to confess them as we continue forward.

Jesus has taken away our sins, if only we believe this and confess that belief and our sins.

Trust in the grace of our Lord and Savior.

Our Lord never changes. He is always loving, compassionate, and just.
His Word is still true: He does not abide sin [for long], but took our punishment on Himself, if we believe it.
Otherwise, those who refuse to follow Him are still under His wrath.

It is so easy to get distracted by and focused on the bad things in life and this world.

Ask God to help you see the good, beautiful, just, true things in each moment. (It helps a lot with stress and cynicism!)
