Being made in God’s image means we have reason to love life, especially as believers in Christ. Let us rejoice in our Lord and His salvation.
You, dear children, are from God and have overcome them, because the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world.

All goodness and power to overcome evil comes from our God who made us in His image. No one else has true power over us because of Him.

God allows and even ordains difficult and evil things to come our way. Sometimes to discipline us when we are wayward in our walk.
Always to grow us more into the image of His Son.

Lies. Abuse. Theft. Adultery. Dishonor. Idolatry. Envy. Lust.
All of these distort God’s truth.
But love can see past all of these and love the one made in God’s image.
