Hopefully making theology simpler to understand! (2 Corinthians 1:12)

I’ve been a pastor’s child for 17 of the 23 years I’ve been on this earth. I’m not writing this article to tell you that it’s been completely easy. I’m also not here to inform you that it was hell on earth. It was neither easy nor hell but rather a comfortable middle, I suppose.

The celebrations are over; the children aren’t quite as nice as they were yesterday; the cards have been opened; all the masculine gifts now sit unwrapped…

It’s the day after Father’s Day.

Now, go be the kind of dad described in those cards.

Some of you are regular readers of Proverbial Thought, and for that I am truly grateful. However, I must apologize for the long break between posts.

Last week my family and I went on vacation to Washington, D.C. While we were there my computer was supposed to be getting cleaned and refreshed in time for my return. Unfortunately, it’s still not ready – it crashed while being worked on.

Fortunately for me, the crash happened while in the competent hands of technicians who could save everything and install a new hard drive. Had it happened just a week earlier, before they had been doing work on it, I would have been in deep, deep, doggie poo (that’s theological verbiage, so don’t worry).

Anyway, later this week I will be getting back to re-posting all the great thoughts written by those who made this project possible.

As you well know – if you know anything about blogging – vacations, sabbaticals, and illnesses will absolutely KILL one’s stats! That is why it is mucho importento to find a way to keep those hits coming, even when you’re not able to post anything yourself.
