fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.
Isaiah 41:10, ESV
Our God holds us and defends us, and others will see the peace and faith we have in Him and want it for themselves.
Not just one Sunday a year, but all year long. Let us remind mothers they are loved and appreciated.
I remember once in an argument with my own mother, saying – in the heat of anger, showing God’s grace flowing – “I’m waking away to keep from causing greater disrespect!” Not ten seconds later my mom was hugging me and crying. Neither of us had been fully right, but she knew I had referenced the Fifth Commandment when I tried to storm off.
God’s Word is what reminded us to love each other and immediately reconcile. And this is the woman who led her sisters in to full reconciliation with their mom over the next years.

For this Sunday here’s what you can do: Encourage a mom with any of these seven biblical truths. It might be something hard to try to encourage moms, whether you are a mom or not. I was trying to think of what truths one can share to mothers at church. Here’s seven truths from Scriptures: […]
For there is one God, and there is one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus
1 Timothy 2:5, ESV
With all of our sin and rebellion, there is only one we can trust to save us – Jesus – who stands with the Father. May we proclaim this truth boldly to a world lost in sin and rebellion.
Likewise the Spirit helps us in our weakness. For we do not know what to pray for as we ought, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words.
Romans 8:26, ESV
This world and it’s problems and attacks can overwhelm is, but we have an Advocate and Helper who helps us pray and persevere, to have answers against the attacks and hope in any problem.
“no weapon that is fashioned against you shall succeed, and you shall refute every tongue that rises against you in judgment. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord and their vindication from me, declares the Lord.”
Isaiah 54:17, ESV
We have the Word of God on our side. People may reject it, but it is the truth. Even if they kill us like our Lord for this truth, we shall likewise rise with Him for eternity!
Do we truly love the Lord our God with all our hearts, souls, minds, and strengths? Maybe I can help with the mind part, at least! This is Daniel M. Klem, apparent poet, reluctant yet passionate Disciple (Peter?), and foolish man attempting to understand theology!
