VerseD: 1 Corinthians 13:7

Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.

1 Corinthians 13:7, ESV

We don’t know everything, unlike God. Yet, we are called to love like Him: patiently, sacrificially, hopefully, and in truth but with grace and mercy.

This Sunday at Church: Pray for the Church to be united Biblically

This is very timely. This next weekend is the Prescott-area Truth Quest Youth Apologetics Conference. The theme this year is Truth & Unity.

VerseD: Proverbs 3:7

Be not wise in your own eyes; fear the Lord, and turn away from evil.

Proverbs 3:7, ESV

We are very limited in our knowledge of life, the universe, and everything.

Once we acknowledge this, we can seek the One who knows all things and has told us what is good.

VerseD: Romans 10:13

For “everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”

Romans 10:13, ESV

We cannot be saved nor continue faithfully in sanctification if we are not focused on the life, death, resurrection, and sovereignty of Christ.

VerseD: 1 Peter 5:10

And after you have suffered a little while, the God of all grace, who has called you to his eternal glory in Christ, will himself restore, confirm, strengthen, and establish you.

1 Peter 5:10, ESV

When our focus is on God, even the sufferings of this world will seem insignificant as we remember His suffering for us and the promise of renewal and restoration in the next life.

VerseD: Isaiah 55:6-7

“Seek the Lord while he may be found; call upon him while he is near; let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts; let him return to the Lord, that he may have compassion on him, and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon.”

Isaiah 55:6‭-‬7, ESV

When our focus is on God, it leads others to possibly seek Him in this life while they can, turning from sin to God because of His light in us.

VerseD: Deuteronomy 6:5

You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your might.

Deuteronomy 6:5, ESV

Our focus in life should be God, learning how to love Him fully with every part of our life that others may see our devotion and His goodness.

VerseD: 1 Corinthians 13:6

it does not rejoice at wrongdoing, but rejoices with the truth.

1 Corinthians 13:6, ESV

When we focus on the source of love and truth, we celebrate when love and truth thrive and mourn when sin and pain happen.

VerseD: Psalm 46:10

“Be still, and know that I am God. I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth!”

Psalm 46:10, ESV

Our focus should be on God – our sovereign Lord who is in control of all things – and making His peace known in the world.
