“Seek the Lord while he may be found; call upon him while he is near; let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts; let him return to the Lord , that he may have compassion on him, and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon.”
Isaiah 55:6-7, ESV
Today is the day of salvation. Once this life is over, there are no more chances to seek and call on the Lord.
Choose today to know God and be pardoned of all sins!
Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.
Psalm 119:105, ESV
Our world, our lives, our walk with God all makes sense through Scripture, the Word of God. Only by it do we see the answer to evil, sin, and the need for a Savior.
Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners, and purify your hearts, you double-minded.
James 4:8, ESV
God is always near (omnipresent). Yet, we are more aware when we diligently seek His face through Bible reading, prayer, and fellowship with other Christians.
And only by Him are we made clean and can we think rightly.
Commit your work to the Lord, and your plans will be established.
Proverbs 16:3, ESV
Do not read this as “Make sure God is invoked in your work so that your plans work out.”
Start your plans by seeking God’s will, work diligently and faithfully with the help of God, and find success on God’s terms, not necessarily your own.
He has made everything beautiful in its time. Also, he has put eternity into man’s heart, yet so that he cannot find out what God has done from the beginning to the end.
Ecclesiastes 3:11, ESV
We appreciate beauty, for God has made beautiful things. He also gave us a desire for perfection and eternity, but it can only be attained through Christ, our hope and beautiful Savior.
So, if you are reading this, be thankful you made it through the year!
Even if 2019 was the hardest year of your life, or you hate the politicians, or circumstances could have been better …
… give thanks to God. And start the year in thanksgiving.
Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were called to peace. And be thankful. Colossians 3:15, NIV
Instead, be filled with the Spirit, speaking to one another with psalms, hymns, and songs from the Spirit. Sing and make music from your heart to the Lord, always giving thanks to God the Father for everything, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. Ephesians 5:18b-20, NIV

Do we truly love the Lord our God with all our hearts, souls, minds, and strengths? Maybe I can help with the mind part, at least! This is Daniel M. Klem, apparent poet, reluctant yet passionate Disciple (Peter?), and foolish man attempting to understand theology!
