VerseD: Luke 9:23-24

And he said to all, “If anyone would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross daily and follow me. For whoever would save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for my sake will save it.“

Christ came to save us by taking the cross we deserved, but He asks us to take up our own cross – live like Jesus by sacrificing our wants, desires, comforts, freedoms, and even our lives in radical love for others to show them the love of God.
