God created everything, so we can trust He knows what is happening and is guiding history to His own purpose.
“Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.”
Joshua 1:9, ESV
God commands us to be courageous and strong!
Yet, by His Holy Spirit, He helps us. Trust Him.
“Worthy are you, our Lord and God, to receive glory and honor and power, for you created all things, and by your will they existed and were created.”
Revelation 4:11, ESV
God deserves all our praise, worship, and love, because He is our Creator.
Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, teaching and admonishing one another in all wisdom, singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, with thankfulness in your hearts to God.
Colossians 3:16, ESV
We regularly study Scripture and rely on the Spirit to guide us in all truth, so that we can help each other grow in Christ, thankful for His help in changing us ever more like the Son.
For whatever was written in former days was written for our instruction, that through endurance and through the encouragement of the Scriptures we might have hope.

When we let God work in us, He draws others to His truth and grace as He conforms us to the Son.
You keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on you, because he trusts in you.

When the Maker of heaven and earth, the Judge of all Creation is on our side, we should have no reason fear.
And people will want the peace we have.
And the Lord will be king over all the earth. On that day the Lord will be one and his name one.

We are able to share the good news that one day God will put an end to all evil and suffering, and to be a part of it all only takes faith in the work of Christ.
Unless the Lord builds the house, those who build it labor in vain. Unless the Lord watches over the city, the watchman stays awake in vain.

We want to do great things for God – start ministries, care for the poor, plant churches – but without a foundation in prayer and God’s Word, seeking His will in all things, we may be wasting our efforts.
Seek first God’s Kingdom and His righteousness.
Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a worker who has no need to be ashamed, rightly handling the word of truth.

Do we interpret the Bible and the Gospel to benefit our lives now, or do we see the need to faithfully interpret for the benefit and salvation of others?
Do we read it merely as about how great we are or as about how great God is and the world’s need for His truth?
