Jesus said to them again, “Peace be with you. As the Father has sent me, even so I am sending you.”
John 20:21, ESV
As Jesus was sent by the Father to save the world, we are sent to spread that good news to the world. The world can then see the peace we have in a crazy, messed up, fallen world and want that peace.
“Let not your hearts be troubled. Believe in God; believe also in me.”

God came to us. The Father sent His Son, Jesus, the promised seed that would crush Satan and redeem us from sin and wrath.
Trust in our God who saves, and the world will want the peace we have in Him.
Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.
James 4:7, ESV
God is our defender, having crushed Satan’s head through the cross.
Let us draw closely to God, submitting to His sovereignty and might, and He will drive the Devil away.

Jesus was first lifted up to make us righteous. The second time He was lifted up, it was as our King and Defender.
Let us then with confidence draw near to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need.

Let us take the news to the world that they too are in rebellion and facing God’s wrath, but there is hope in Christ.

When the world sees our lack of interest in material needs, they will wonder what intrigues us so much about Jesus.
We can have peace even when we lose everything or the economy is bad or the government is corrupt, and they will see.
For there is one God, and there is one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus

With all of our sin and rebellion, there is only one we can trust to save us – Jesus – who stands with the Father. May we proclaim this truth boldly to a world lost in sin and rebellion.
