VerseD: 1 John 4:4

Little children, you are from God and have overcome them, for he who is in you is greater than he who is in the world.

1 John 4:4, ESV

The Devil and those who hate God and His people will do hat they can to stop the spread of the Gospel.

But we know that Christ lives in us by the Holy Spirit, and He has already overcome evil by His death and resurrection.

VerseD: Philippians 4:7

And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

Philippians 4:7, ESV

Turning to God through Christ, loving His Church and confessing our sins, will give hope for the future and peace in the power of Holy Spirit.

VerseD: Luke 11:13

If you then, who are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will the heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him!”

Luke 11:13, ESV

When we sincerely seek the forgiveness found in Christ, we get what the Holy Spirit – Christ in us, God with us. We become one with the Chirch and have hope for eternal life.

Little children, let us not love in word or talk but in deed and in truth.

It is not enough to talk about love and kindness if we never do anything about it.

Let us help each other in needs and growing in the hope Christ.

She opens her hand to the poor and reaches out her hands to the needy.

Life is hard.

God has called each of us, especially in the Church, to offer help to each other and hope through the Gospel.

VerseD: Matthew 4:4

But he answered, “It is written, “‘Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that comes from the mouth of God.’””

It is said that people need food, safety, and shelter to thrive, but without hope no one can live.

The Word of God tells us we constantly fall short, but by the grace shown through Christ we can be made righteous and have hope of eternal life.

“Yet even now,” declares the Lord, “return to me with all your heart, with fasting, with weeping, and with mourning”

Joel 2:12, ESV

We must lament our sin, desire the change in our hearts and minds, and seek the only One who can cleanse us and give us peace within and with Him.

In Christ, God gives us rest from our worries and stress from sin, and He promises us that all suffering will one day end when Christ returns.

Continue steadfastly in prayer, being watchful in it with thanksgiving.

Prayer keeps us connected to God and each other. Thankfulness helps us appreciate our salvation and communion with God and the Church.
