Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths.

Our Creator knows what’s best for us. Trust Him to guide in all of life.
Even a fool who keeps silent is considered wise; when he closes his lips, he is deemed intelligent.

“If you can’t say nuthin’ nice, don’t say nuthin’ at all.”
Sometimes, the best thing to say is nothing. It can be the most loving and intelligent thing to say so that no one gets hurt.
Including yourself.
The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge; fools despise wisdom and instruction.

We cannot know God if we do not know about who He is. We must remember first that He is a God of wrath who must punish sin, then we can know the God of grace and forgiveness.
Then we can begin to rightly understand our world and ourselves.
The reward for humility and fear of the Lord is riches and honor and life.
Proverbs 22:4, ESV
The Bible does not necessarily promise riches, honor, and life in this life. It is clear that we definitely inherit the richness of righteousness, the honor of the King of Creation, and eternal life in Christ.
The father of the righteous will greatly rejoice; he who fathers a wise son will be glad in him.

Any parent is happy when their children choose to do well in life.
How much more delighted is God when we choose to follow and obey Christ?
Whoever walks with the wise becomes wise, but the companion of fools will suffer harm.

We can walk with God and others who do, growing in wisdom from the source of wisdom, or we can follow this world and it’s ways and suffer the consequences.
Anxiety in a man’s heart weighs him down, but a good word makes him glad.

Daily life can be hard, and a realization of our sin can weigh heavy on the heart and mind.
An encouraging word can change a bad day to a good day, and the Gospel can free us from shame and fear.
The righteous who walks in his integrity— blessed are his children after him!

Our Christian walk is not about us. We walk in the righteousness of Christ to bless others and glorify our heavenly Father.
Whoever guards his mouth preserves his life; he who opens wide his lips comes to ruin.

Boasting about your life does not help anyone and possibly hurts others by leading to sin.
But if we boast in the work of Christ, we may lead others to God.
