VerseD: Romans 1:17

The only way we are saved is through faith in the gospel: that Jesus lived, died and rose again for our redemption.

VerseD: 1 Corinthians 13:6

Love does not rejoice at wrongdoing, but rejoices with the truth.

We can feel self-righteous when we see others messing up and sinning, or we can find ways to justify sin. Love, however, obeys God and rejoices when we do well and right.

VerseD: Matthew 10:16

“Behold, I am sending you out as sheep in the midst of wolves, so be wise as serpents and innocent as doves.”

We must understand this w world, but we are to be better than the world. Only with the help of the Holy Spirit and because of Christ can we do this.

Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but the Lord delivers him out of them all.

We like to think we can handle all life throws at us, but often the world mistreats the people doing what is right. Thankfully, our God and Savior warned us, prepares us, and redeems us, giving us hope for eternal life with Him, finally free from pain and worry.

The Lord is my strength and my shield; in him my heart trusts, and I am helped; my heart exults, and with my song I give thanks to him.

We often act like we can control our lives, doing what we can to make sense of the world.

Only with God are we strong enough for this life and to make it to the next. May we trust in Him and praise Him with all we are.

VerseD: Isaiah 54:10

For the mountains may depart and the hills be removed, but my steadfast love shall not depart from you, and my covenant of peace shall not be removed,” says the Lord, who has compassion on you.

Isaiah 54:10, ESV

Even knowing nothing in this world is eternal, we still live like certain things will always be. Even when the world crashes down around us, we can know God is eternal and His love, peace, and compassion will always be with us, those who call on Him.

VerseD: John 7:37-38

On the last day of the feast, the great day, Jesus stood up and cried out, “If anyone thirsts, let him come to me and drink. Whoever believes in me, as the Scripture has said, ‘Out of his heart will flow rivers of living water.’”

John 7:37‭-‬38, ESV

We long for peace and fellowship, and when we believe in Christ, His Holy Spirit flows through us, giving us inner peace and peace with God and others.

He restores my soul. He leads me in paths of righteousness for his name’s sake.

God is our Comforter and Redeemer. He shows His glory by moving in us and making us Christ-like.

Beloved, if God so loved us, we also ought to love one another.

We tend to expect a 50/50 input with relationships, each side giving and receiving equally. The example God gives for relationships is 100% – giving sacrificially expecting little or even nothing in return, yet always loving the other.

May the God of endurance and encouragement grant you to live in such harmony with one another, in accord with Christ Jesus

Sometimes we disagree, maybe even extremely dislike (hate?) each other. Yet God grants us peace and fellowship in Christ by the Holy Spirit.
