Life is hard. God is good. Trust Him to provide for your needs, thanking Him for every good thing, no matter how small or big.

But love your enemies, and do good, and lend, expecting nothing in return, and your reward will be great, and you will be sons of the Most High, for he is kind to the ungrateful and the evil.

God showed His kindness to us by saving us when we were ungrateful and evil toward Him and each other.

Let us live by Christ’s example, knowing He has paid for others and we receive His grace and forgiveness. We expect nothing from them.

God has done all things well: Creation, Redemption, and Renewal of His people (and eventually all of Creation) especially.

Give thanks to God for His great works.

Kind, grateful, forgiving, and uplifting words bring joy and even healing.

God has shown His love by cleansing us of all of our sin through the sacrifice of Jesus on the cross.
We do not understand how grateful we should be, but we will have eternity to learn and give thanks!

Blessed – Happy, joyous, elated, grateful – are those who have realized their own wretchedness before a holy God and also realized the grace and forgiveness He offers through the cross of Christ.

Make the Lord happy. Give Him glory with a grateful heart. Enter His presence in prayer and the reading of Scripture.

Trust the Lord to get you through each day and every moment, giving Him praise and thanks all the while.

Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.

A grateful heart cannot help but rejoice in all things. Look at the disciples in Acts who thanked God for being worthy to suffer because it was for their Lord. This only becomes possible by continuously being in contact with Him.
