Life is hard.
God has called each of us, especially in the Church, to offer help to each other and hope through the Gospel.
But he answered, “It is written, “‘Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that comes from the mouth of God.’””
Matthew 4:4, ESV
It is said that people need food, safety, and shelter to thrive, but without hope no one can live.
The Word of God tells us we constantly fall short, but by the grace shown through Christ we can be made righteous and have hope of eternal life.
“Yet even now,” declares the Lord, “return to me with all your heart, with fasting, with weeping, and with mourning”
Joel 2:12, ESV
We must lament our sin, desire the change in our hearts and minds, and seek the only One who can cleanse us and give us peace within and with Him.
“For I will satisfy the weary soul, and every languishing soul I will replenish.”
Jeremiah 31:25, ESV
In Christ, God gives us rest from our worries and stress from sin, and He promises us that all suffering will one day end when Christ returns.
Continue steadfastly in prayer, being watchful in it with thanksgiving.

Prayer keeps us connected to God and each other. Thankfulness helps us appreciate our salvation and communion with God and the Church.
If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

We must confess our sins to God. It is helpful to confess to each other, as well, which is one of the reasons we need the Church.
Confess and be clean.
Repent therefore, and turn back, that your sins may be blotted out

We are guilty of sin and killing our God.
Turn from sin and to God. Let the Holy Spirit change your thinking. Let the Church help you grow.

Is God important to you?
Do you want to experience God?
Do you love His people, not only Israel but the Church?
We should have a growing desire to know God and seek Him with all we are and with others.
“Seek the Lord while he may be found; call upon him while he is near; let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts; let him return to the Lord, that he may have compassion on him, and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon.”
Isaiah 55:6-7, ESV
God can be found in this life only. Only now can we be forgiven and find the path to eternal life: faith in the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus of Nazareth.
Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and eat with him, and he with me.
Revelation 3:20, ESV
Jesus invites us into community with Himself and with the Church. We are not meant to live nor worship alone.
