VerseD: Proverbs 11:24

One gives freely, yet grows all the richer; another withholds what he should give, and only suffers want.

Especially in matters of love and grace.
Do as our Lord has done and share His love and grace, growing in both.

VerseD: Matthew 6:11

Give us this day our daily bread,

Seek Him first, and all our deepest needs are met.

VerseD: Matthew 4:4

But he answered, “It is written, “‘Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that comes from the mouth of God.’”
Matthew 4:4, ESV

Without the Word of God (both Scripture and Jesus), our life is ultimately meaningless, and loving out His commands fulfills us in ways we may never fully understand.

I am the vine; you are the branches. Whoever abides in me and I in him, he it is that bears much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing.

Only in Jesus are we guaranteed eternal life and do our good works have real impact.

The only hope we have in this world and for the next is Jesus Christ, the only way to eternal life and forgiveness for our sins.

VerseD: Matthew 5:44

But I say to you, Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you
Matthew 5:44, ESV

Our hope in Christ pushes us to emulate Him, and, just like He prayed for and loved those persecuting Him, we win over others by praying for and showing love to those who despise us.

VerseD: 1 Corinthians 13:4

Love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant
1 Corinthians 13:4, ESV

It is easier to love this world when our hope and source of love are found in the One who first loved us. Knowing the world mistreated Jesus helps us be patient with those who do not understand what they are doing.
