This Sunday at Church: Thank Someone who Encourages You

Our elders just held a Volunteer Appreciation Dinner on Friday, at which we served our deacons, Bible study leaders, and other volunteers (and their families) dinner, offered a short message of gratitude for ministering and some entertainment, gave away door prizes, and showed a movie.

The message this morning is finding encouragement in our faithful Savior (Matthew 12:15-21).

In other words, this weekend for our congregation has been a big thank you to our congregation.

Let’s live out gratitude daily, not just today or this weekend.

Daniel

This Sunday at Church I want to encourage you to do the following: Thank someone who encourages you. Sometimes we can take people and things for granted. If we realize while reading this someone who encourage you at church I think it is worthwhile to thank them for encouraging you. I look back and realized […]

April 2023 Missions Trip Update

Let us lift up our missionaries, the persecuted Church, and those who persecute that they may come to the Lord.

Daniel

Here’s an update post!  It has been sobering being with Christians in the 10/40 window.  Traveling to two different countries has also made me grateful for the Christians in areas where it is not easy to be a believer.  While the trip does not have many discussions on persecution as the main focus still it […]

This Sunday at Church: Being Grateful for the Resurrection of Christ

In light of today being Resurrection Sunday (Easter) its appropriate to say: Be grateful for the Resurrection of Jesus Christ. With each passing year I grow up as a Christian the more I appreciate what Christ has done for our salvation. And the wonders around this time of year is the resurrection: But on the […]

This Sunday at Church: Pray for the recent funerals your Pastor or Church Conducted

This Sunday at Church I want to encourage you to do the following: Pray for the recent funerals your pastor or church conducted.   In the current church I’m attending the Pastor conducted a funeral on Saturday for someone who just passed away.  He texted me to pray for him which I did. Both of […]

This Sunday at Church: Encourage the Encourager

Interestingly enough, I had opportunities to do this very thing yesterday. Let us remember to lift up those who seem to always remember, in Jesus’ name!

Daniel

This Sunday at Church I want to encourage you to do the following: Encourage the Encourager. Do you know the encourager at church? They seem to be always encouraging others. But they also need to be encouraged! We can easily take people for granted; that include taking for granted those who encourage others. I don’t […]

This Sunday at Church: Pray for the Church to be united Biblically

This is very timely. This next weekend is the Prescott-area Truth Quest Youth Apologetics Conference. The theme this year is Truth & Unity.

Let us pray for unity in God’s Church, and please offer a special prayer for our youth.

Daniel

This Sunday at Church I want to encourage you to do the following: Pray for the Church to be united Biblically.   I think today’s world often stress shallow unity.  Sometimes the church can imitate the world where its the idea of unity at any cost, even with the sacrifice of sound biblical doctrines. That’s […]

This Sunday at Church: Pray for Church’s Pastoral Search Committee

This Sunday at Church I want to encourage you to do the following: Pray for Church’s Pastoral Search Committee. A few weeks ago for Sunday I had a post on “Pray for churches you know looking for a Pastor.” While it is important to pray for that I also think it is important to pray […]

This Sunday at Church: Pray for those in your church who are truckers

I think this is the first congregation I have been in without any truckers, but we still have plenty of people who drive a lot. One of our deacons covers the southwest states for work, one is a police officer, and I drive about 200 miles a day 3-4 days a week.

I have known more than 100 truckers in my life. Most love the work, but it can be aggravating and stressful due to bad drivers, rude drivers, and weather conditions, not to mention time restraints on deliveries and time away from families and friends.

Let’s remember them before our God!

Daniel

This Sunday at Church I want to encourage you to do the following: Pray for those in your church who are truckers. This past week driving made me think a lot about truckers. So it got me thinking: What a privlege if the Church can pray for those who drive trucks. It’s not an easy […]

This Sunday at Church: Pray for those who are engaged to be married

My wife and I made sinful mistakes in the relationships we had before we met. We went super-traditional courtship-style ourselves. We have counseled a few couples together, and I have officiated many more weddings.

This is something I think of regularly, and thus pray for engaged couples. Please join us. This world and Satan will put so much pressure on then- and already has been!

Daniel

This Sunday at Church I want to encourage you to do the following: Pray for those who are engaged to be married. This past week we had a couple over for pre-marital counseling.  I consider it a privilege and serious responsibility with faciliating this as a pastor. But it got me thinking: What a privlege […]

This Sunday at Church: Pray for the Residence of East Palestine, Ohio in light of the Train Fire Disaster

If you have not seen pictures, it looks like an atomic bomb went off, or possibly like the Lord is moving with Israel in the wilderness! It is a fearful sight. Let us pray for this community and the loved ones who may suddenly have family and friends from their (especially if they are suddenly living together!)

Daniel

This Sunday at Church I want to encourage you to do the following: Pray for the Residence of East Palestine, Ohio in light of the Train Fire Disaster.   Been hearing about this disaster of over a million gallon of toxic chemicals burned after the train derailed.  They had to also burn it since there’s […]
